Have you been looking into cheap laser printers? If so, you might be a little confused about which brand to buy. Before we get to the answer, let’s first go over what each major brand is generally known for. Hewlett Packard builds solid printers. They’re often reliable and durable, but rarely spectacular. Their customer service has a bad reputation. Overall, they’re known to build good products, but care much more about the bottom line than their customers. Canon is best known for photo printers. They make other great printers as well, but anything related to photo prints is where they shine the most. They are also well liked by most consumers. Epson doesn’t sell as many models as the other two companies listed above, but when they do, they’re going to make sure it’s a winner. You can usually trust their designs. Brother is best known for designing printers that are extremely easy to use. This has led to exceptional customer feedback – definitely a brand to consider. Samsung focuses mostly on features that will save the customer money. No complaint there.
For now, let’s look at one of HP’s cheap laser printers. I’m referring to the HP P1505 LaserJet Printer. It has a list price of $256 yet can be found selling new on Amazon for only $149. The P1505 has 2MB of memory and a 266MHz processor. There is a 150-sheet output tray and a 250-sheet main tray with a cover. The control panel is one of this model’s best features. It gives you easy access to operations and it has a simplistic design. The speed for the P1505 is decent. It can print up to 24 pages per minute. More impressive in relation to speed is its first page out, which can be under five seconds. The HP P1505 also offers automatic alerts for when supplies are low. This will help prevent you from running out of toner.
Overall, if you temper your expectations, the HP P1505 LaserJet Printer can be of great use. Its dimensions are 9.6 x 14.9 x 8.9 inches and it weighs 12.90 lbs.
