If you have decided to purchase a used vehicle, but you do not want to deal with a used car salesman, then you should plan to check out the cars for sale by owner. If you go down that path, then you might want to know just where it might lead.

Not every line of used vehicles, those that are on sale, exists on an automobile lot. Some private citizens make money by buying and selling second hand vehicles. Some such people lack access to a sizeable parking space, They have to park their cars, trucks or vans on the street.
If you answer an ad that has been paid for by such an individual, then you may encounter problems, when you arrive to examine a particular set of wheels. Once you do find a parking space, you could find it difficult to locate the residence where the seller lives. Be assured, you will be well rewarded for your efforts.
Even if you do not become the new owner of a previously owned car or truck, you will still know that you had control over the completed or rejected deal. You will have had a chance to bargain with the seller. By the same token, you will have had an opportunity to learn more about the history of the motored vehicle, the one that you arrived to examine.
If you do decide to purchase that second hand set of wheels, then you must learn how the seller wants to carry out the pending transaction. Is the seller asking you buy something “as is”? Would the seller agree to receive regular payments, rather than the full value? Is the seller willing to have the purchase price cover certain items in the car, such as a set of tapes? When you pursue cars for sale by owner, then you can negotiate with that owner.
Yup!.. I also agree. Much better to talk and negotiate to the owner rather than the dealer.
