Here are some of the many advantages to starting your own vending business:
It’s easy to get started. Virtually anyone can start up a route; it doesn’t take a lot of money, any special skills, or a college degree. In fact you can get started for less than $500 if you start with a few used vending machines. Keep in mind though, that although it is easy to get started, this does not mean that vending is easy, in fact, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be successful. More people end up dropping out than end up being successful.

It’s a good use of time and money. You’ll often see the term passive income applied to vending and for the most part this is true, but no business or investment is every truly passive. Since vending machines only need to be serviced every 30 – 60 days, this is why it’s considered passive. Between servicing, the machines are on location still earning money with a minimal time investment.
Total flexibility. Not many businesses allow you to have the flexibility that vending allows. You can have a small route that you work part time to make an extra couple hundred dollars a month or you can grow your route to the point that it provides you and your family with a full time income. You have the option of hiring an employee if you want. You can work whatever days and whatever schedule you prefer. You can take vacations and extra days off whenever you want.
It’s a virtually stress free business. A lot of people who come from high pressure jobs may be surprised at exactly how relaxed and stress free working a vending route can be. There are no deadlines and no emergencies. There are some petty hassles such as broken machines and theft, but these are a minor annoyance. If you’re looking to lower your blood pressure and slow your life down, you’d be hard pressed to find a better business than vending.
